Biden's SOTU 2022 demonstrates strong support for the Ukraine. The world is behind Ukraine, but what about China?
It was great to see President Biden showed strong support for the Ukraine's people during the Russia's invasion, and confronted President Putin on multiple fronts including SWIFT sanctions. BUT, what about China? It is expected that the West and European Union nations will put sanctions on Russia, but China is considering the most important player to determine whether not Putin will stop the war on Ukraine.
Unfortunately, China on Wednesday said it would not consider sanctions on Russia, and will continue normal trade with Russia. It dealt a big blow to the West and EU that tried to squeeze Russia's economy and ultimately stop the war.
Globally, Biden shows that the US is actively participating to punish Putin for the Ukraine's invasion, but at home, in the United States, Biden did not have any concrete action plans to fight high inflation prices on food and gas, resolve the high crime rates and drug abuses, and the worse part is Biden couldn't even get his Build Back Better package approved.
It appears that the SOTU address leans toward a failure for Biden because he can't convince China to join the sanctions on Russia, and he can't get anything done back home including his signature's Build Back Better plan.
His SOTU 2022 address would be rated a grade C! If not for the strong support of Ukraine, Biden would receive a lower rating.
